 Cost

I charge an hourly rate of £30 with a minimum 4 hour period booked.  A half day is charged at £120.

Travel time is charged for distances over 20 miles or for sessions lasting less than 4 hours.

I am happy to travel up to 20 miles each way from IV15 free of charge.  Any return journeys over 40 miles will be charged at 45p per mile.  This applies to sessions of 4 hours and more. 

Consumables such as bubblewrap, boxes, office stationery and storage solutions will be charged at cost.

I require a 50% deposit to secure a booking, with the balance paid on completion of the session.  

For executries: in most cases I will invoice the executors or solicitor dealing with the deceased's estate.

Terms & Conditions

Confidentiality & Privacy

The Executor's Helper provides a fully confidential service and will not divulge any information whatsoever to a third party without your prior, written approval.  

 

Disclaimer advice

All items will be handled with care. You acknowledge that The Executor's Helper cannot be held liable for accidental loss or damage, however it is caused.  

Any advice or suggestions offered regarding disposal of items is given in good faith.  It is entirely your decision whether to act on such advice or not, and The Executor's Helper  accepts no responsibility  for any action taken by you, or subsequent consequences,  based on that advice.

IA

Limitations of work

Before commencing work, The Executor's Helper will provide a detailed summary of the instructions given by you, the client, as to what you wish done; what you want dealt with; what is to be disposed of, etc..  This will be agreed and signed by both parties and forms the basis of the contract between The Executor's Helper and you.

I do not provide a cleaning service or removal service.  Any large items requiring to be moved will need a 3rd party to assist.  

 

Removal of items

No items will be removed or disposed of without your instruction or consent,  agreed in writing before I start work.  All paperwork that is to be disposed of, that has any identifying details on it, will be shredded on site.  

 

Payment terms, travel costs

For office organisation,  decluttering and individual sessions a 50% deposit is required to confirm a booking, with the balance paid on completion of the session.  For executries an invoice will be issued to the acting solicitor.  Terms strictly 30 days.

Cancellation

The Executor's Helper and you both have the right to cancel a booking due to unavoidable circumstances. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the start of the booked session your 50% deposit will not be returned.  

3rd party, other suppliers or services

I am happy to make suggestions on the use of additional services such as cleaners or removal companies, and can help to arrange these services. It is ultimately your decision whether to employ them and  I will not be held liable if their performance falls below an acceptable standard nor for any loss or damage caused by any supplier, its employees or agents. Suppliers' charges are payable by you directly.

 

Insurance

I have public liability insurance with an indemnity of £1,000,000.
